Piedad Córdoba assures that former prosecutor Néstor Humberto Martínez “is a bandit who should be in jail”

The former liberal congresswoman Piedad Cordoba announced that she will file criminal actions against the former attorney general of the nation, Néstor Humberto Martinez Neira, for creating a file with false audios that incriminate her in the drug trafficking process of Jesús Santrich.

The statement was made by the former senator to the newscast Noticias Uno, where the former presidential candidate assured that former prosecutor Martínez created a whole fraudulent file against her and the Peace Agreement with the FARC.

“Maybe they think it is that I am scared to death by the investigations or that I am hiding, then let him -Nestor Humberto Martínez- and María Isabel Rueda prepare for the criminal complaints that I am going to file against them”, the former senator told Noticias Uno emphatically.

Córdoba also announced that, if Martínez Neyra becomes the next Colombian ambassador to Spain, He will travel to Madrid to warn the Government of Pedro Sánchez about the actions of the former prosecutor.

The former congresswoman revealed, during the interview, that a while ago the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) contacted her, along with other officials from the U.S. Embassy to request information on Iván Márquez, the front man Alex Saab, and the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro. Córdoba assures that he received the US authorities several times at his home.

“The DEA was talking to me and asking a series of questions that I answered with all the calm of the case. Córdoba denounced that former prosecutor Martínez, in an “alliance” with the US embassy, ​​carried out a set-up against Santrich in which she “carried the bundle” and accused her, according to her, without justification. In addition, the former congresswoman assured that Néstor Humberto not only wanted to harm her, but also the process.
