From 8:00 pm next Friday, November 20, until 8:00 pm on Monday, November 23, the inhabitants of the central, western and northern areas of Bucaramanga will not have drinking water supply.
The cut was scheduled by the Metropolitan Aqueduct of Bucaramanga, amb, while preventive maintenance works are being carried out on the Bosconia-Morrorrico pump drive line and reinforcement to the Colorados sector.
According to the entity that provides this public service, the works scheduled for next week include the installation of reinforcement pipes and devices to increase the transport capacity on the Bosconia-Tanque Angelinos pipeline and thus achieve, in some way, improve the service for Colorados and El Pablón, as well as for public batteries.
On the other hand, we will proceed with the change of two expansion joints and structural reinforcement of the protection system of the Bosconia – Morrorrico discharge pipe, to ensure the reliability of the service in the service provision area of the main hall. This measure covers those who inhabit the quadrant of the downtown area between Carrera 22 and the western escarpment, between Calle 45 and the northern escarpment, and the entire northern sector of Bucaramanga.
It should be noted that these interventions will allow a response to the populations that have been complaining and protesting the lack of the precious liquid.
They claim that due to population growth, the service is intermittent and the pressure has decreased considerably, especially in the highlands.

Contingency plan
Taking into account that there are several days of affectation, as a contingency plan the use of tank trucks was established to supply the citizens who are in the North zone, Los Colorados and El Pablón.
Additionally, the aqueduct company will be in charge of equipping two hydrants for supplying the users that are located on Calle 14 with Carrera 30, near the Alfonso López Stadium, and on Carrera 27 with Calle 32, in front of Garcillantas.
Water will also be delivered in vehicles at the Morrorrico Plant (Water Park) to people or commercial establishments that are in the cutting area.
