Apparently the violence in the south of Córdoba does not stop, on this occasion it was denounced the murder of three members of the same family, among which are two women, mother and daughter; and a man, the father of the home.
The fact, which was denounced by the Cordoberxia Foundation, would have been registered in the afternoon of this Friday, November 13, in the paths Lorenzo Abajo and El Banquito, from Tierralta, in the Alto Sinú subregion, south of the department of Córdoba.
In a statement, the human rights defender entity reported that “Urgent action is required, three members of the same family were murdered. It could be interpreted as a massacre, despite the fact that the parents were murdered in a different place where the daughter was murdered ”.
The victims were preliminarily identified as Tomás Correa Mendoza, 54-year-old father; Onilda Maria Diaz, 65, mother; Y Luisa Fernanda Correa Díaz, 24, daughter.
“From Cordoberxia We condemn these events and make a vehement appeal to President Iván Duque Márquez so that they dismantle the paramilitaries, the successor gangs and their support networks, ”the non-governmental organization indicated in its statement.
It was learned that the bodies of Tomas and Unilda were initially found in the Lorenzo Abajo village, and about three kilometers away, the daughter’s body was found of both, in the Bella Vista path, on the road to the Bank.
Regarding the family murdered with a firearm, it was learned that they resided in the Libardo López neighborhood, on the banks of the Sinú River, dedicated to field work and fishing, for which the reasons for his violent death are unknown.
Security Council
Due to this event, the authorities convened for this Saturday, November 14, a security council that would be led by the governor of Córdoba, Orlando Benítez Mora and the commander of the Córdoba Police, Colonel Jairo Baquero Puentes.
Although the deaths have not been attributed to a particular illegal group, it should be noted that the ‘Clan del Golfo’ is present in the south of Córdoba. and ‘los Caparros’, who dispute the control of the criminal economies with blood and fire.
