Carmen Cañón lives with her husband and their two minor children, ages 4 and 9, in the Cali neighborhood of the town of Bosa. She had decided to work with a young woman who provided her cleaning services.
In a previous house they had already hired her services and for that reason they felt the confidence to call her back to work again in the place where the family had moved, 15 days ago.

He had already attended that residence three times to work. “On Sunday, November 8, she called me almost all day to tell me that if she could come, she had a sick child. I told him it could happen on Monday, but he said Sunday better. ”
So it was that he arrived that day at 8:20 at night. “My husband left, paid for the taxi and entered the house. At that time we were eating and we were talking. After a while, she arrived and told us if we wanted soda ”.
Then I learned that the sound equipment, tools, laptops, cell phones, three million pesos, everything was missing.

The first glass with the liquid was given to Carmen’s husband. “He went to the room and fell asleep, I was talking to her in the living room. And after a while he also gave me something to drink. From then on I don’t remember anything else ”.
Carmen said that they usually sleep with the television on. “At 3:30 in the morning I opened my eyes and saw everything dark. I stopped scared and when I turned on the light I saw that the television was not there. I went to my children’s room and noticed that the television had also been taken. Later I learned that the sound equipment, tools, laptops, cell phones, three million pesos, everything were missing ”.

He even took lotions, makeup, irons, among other objects. “Or rather, she swept everything away.” Carmen has made all kinds of inquiries and, compiling the videos captured by the cameras in the area, she was able to realize that the same taxi in which the domestic worker arrived had picked her up to flee the place after the robbery. “You can’t see the license plate, but it sure is the same taxi.”
According to the family, the losses amount to 22 million pesos. “We have already told the police about all this, but so far they have not done anything. What’s more, they have the nerve to tell me to get them the car license plates. ”
They have several images of the taxi and ask the authorities to locate it. The complaint has already been filed with the Prosecutor’s Office. “We have found all the videos out there, it is only fair that they help us ”.
The young woman Carmen suspects told the family that her name was Gabriela.
