La Dimayor held a special club meeting this Thursday to analyze the situation of Cúcuta Deportivo, which entered the liquidation process by order of the Superintendency of Companies. .
In the meeting of the 36 clubs, one of the decisions that was made was not to play the match between Cúcuta and America that was scheduled for tonight, on date 19 of the League.

The decision is made because Cúcuta began its liquidation process for not complying with all its debts, as was the commitment in its reorganization process, and also because it has pending the suspension of sports recognition by part of the Ministry of Sports.
Several management sources confirmed the decision to EL TIEMPO. “Supersociedades executed the liquidation of the legal entity, which is why the labor contracts are left without a floor. They will not be able to play,” said a source.

Thus, America wins the game at the desk, by a result of 3-0. On Sunday, Cúcuta faced Nacional, a match that would not be played either and that will have the same result in favor of the purslane team.
However, the decision was not by consensus, since some clubs think that América and Nacional have an advantage, despite the fact that they are already classified.
“It can be said that there is disagreement from some clubs, that they feel affected in sport,” a president told EL TIEMPO.
Cúcuta was declared in liquidation since Wednesday and now the Supersociedades will appoint a liquidator who will continue with the process.
