After a meeting in which the mayors of Valle de Aburrá, the Government and the Ministry of Health participated, the authorities announced this Thursday the restrictive measures that will govern during the holiday weekend in Antioquia to contain the coronavirus.
By virtue of the Colombia – Uruguay match and the holiday, the following measures were established:
– Dry Law: from 2:00 pm on Friday, November 13 to 5:00 am on Saturday, November 14 there will be restriction of consumption of alcoholic beverages.
– Curfew: from 11:00 pm on Friday, November 13 to 5:00 am on Saturday, November 14, the above with the aim of avoiding traffic accidents and violent events.
– Limitation of the bar pilot: restricting until 12 at night on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November.

The governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, explained that the objective of the measure was to avoid concentrations due to the match of the Colombia National Team with Uruguay, which will be played this Friday, because the last meeting was significant for the increase in cases of contagion of covid-19.
Gaviria expressed the approval of the measures as “a small sacrifice today that guarantees us a more stable December”.
