903 new cases and 16 deaths this Friday

In Valle del Cauca, 16 more citizens died from covid-19 and 903 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Friday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca reached 82,558 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, last March.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (11), Buga (2), Palmira, Roldanillo and Jamundí (1).

At the national level, 10,029 new infections were reported, spinning two consecutive days with more than 10,000 positives and bringing the total to 1,063,151.

Of these, 70,130 remain active, while 959,433 overcame the virus, explained the Ministry of Health.

Across the country, 209 deaths from covid-19 were reported, so there are already 31,135 deaths due to the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 184 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Friday 38,101 PCR tests and 13,322 antigens were processed for the detection of the coronavirus.

Bogotá (319,405), Antioquia (167,328), Valle del Cauca (82,558), Atlántico (71,572) and Cundinamarca (42,018) are the regions of Colombia that have registered the most covid-19 cases to date.

In the world, 45,120,596 people have contracted the disease, 1,182,408 died for associated reasons and 30,394,329 surpassed it.
