880 new infections of covid-19 and 25 deaths this Friday

In Valle del Cauca, 25 more citizens died from covid-19 and 880 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Friday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca reached 88,020 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, last March.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (16), Cartago (2), Seville, Buenaventura, Andalucía, Buga, El Cerrito, Jamundí and Tuluá (1).

Nationwide, 9,756 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 1,127,733.

Of these, 72,537 remain active, while 1,020,263 outgrew the virus.

Across the country, 196 deaths from covid-19 were reported, so there are already 32,405 deaths due to the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 168 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Friday 35,856 PCR tests and 26,778 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.

Bogotá (332,118), Antioquia (180,520), Valle del Cauca (88,020), Atlántico (73,079) and Cundinamarca (44,313) are the regions of Colombia that have registered the most cases of covid-19 so far.

In the world, 48,763,203 people have contracted the disease, 1,234,371 died due to reasons associated with the virus and 32,344,603 overcame it.
