The Ministry of Health reported, this Saturday, November 7, 8,714 new cases of coronavirus in Colombia. In the last 24 hours, 48,659 tests were processed, 27,531 are PCR and 21,128 antigens.

The report also indicates that the death toll is 190. Today, the country reaches a total of 32,595 deaths since the virus reached the national territory.

Colombia reached 1,136,447 infected of which 72,228 are active cases and 1,029,082 correspond to positive cases that have already overcome the disease.

Regarding the contagion of covid-19 by cities and departments of the country, the department of Antioquia continues to lead with 1,765 cases, followed by Bogotá with 1,646, followed by Valle del Cauca, Tolima and Cundinamarca.

For this reason, the National Government has provided different documents that must be taken into account not only by those responsible for the provision of health services and territorial authorities, but also the secretaries of health and the general public and other responsible actors. of the management ”, warned Jairo Hernández, Deputy Director of Environmental Health.

For hospitals, it was established that “from the source of generation of the waste, there is a management with general and specific biosafety and prevention measures in relation to the other waste generated in the hospital environment, ensuring that it is managed with containment measures (red bag ), marking, that it remains stored for the shortest possible time and once it leaves the generator, the measures are guaranteed until its treatment and / or final disposal, ”the deputy director reported.
