753 new cases and 23 deaths in the Valley this Monday

In Valle del Cauca, 23 more citizens died from covid-19 and 753 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Monday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca, the third department in Colombia with the highest contagion rate, behind Cundinamarca and Antioquia, reached 79,184 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (10), Cartago (3), Buenaventura (2), Candelaria (2), Jamundí, Tuluá, Dagua, Yumbo, Buga and Bugalagrande (1).

Nationwide, 9,167 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 1,025,052.

Of these, 68,310 remain active, while 924,044 outgrew the virus.

Across the country, 194 deaths from covid-19 were reported, so there are already 30,348 deaths due to the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 167 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Monday 30,050 PCR tests and 10,801 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.
