693 new cases and 14 deaths this Thursday

In Valle del Cauca, 14 more citizens died from covid-19 and 693 contracted the disease, confirmed the Ministry of Health this Thursday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca reached 81,655 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, last March.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (7), Palmira (3), Zarzal (2), Yumbo and Cartago (1).

Nationwide, 11,187 new cases were reported (2,470 more than this Wednesday), bringing the total to 1,053,122.

Of these, 69,423 remain active, while 950,348 outgrew the virus.

Across the country, 173 deaths from covid-19 were reported, so there are already 30,926 deaths due to the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 145 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Thursday 27,331 PCR tests and 26,089 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.

Bogotá (317,637), Antioquia (164,814), Valle del Cauca (81,655), Atlántico (71,351) and Cundinamarca (41,774) are the regions of Colombia that have registered the most cases of covid-19 so far.

In the world, 44,574,981 have contracted the disease, 1,175,279 died for reasons associated with the virus and 30,141,299 have overcome it.
