678 new cases of covid-19 and 14 deaths from the virus reported Minsalud

The number of confirmed cases of covid-19 in Valle del Cauca rose to 64,462 this Saturday, according to the most recent bulletin from the Ministry of Health.

The entity confirmed 678 new coronavirus infections in the department, as well as 14 deaths caused by the virus: six in Cali, two in Palmira, two in Buenaventura and one per municipality in Jamundí, Tuluá, Obando and La Victoria.

Nationally, the total number of cases amounted to 848,147, after 6,616 new infections were reported this Saturday. In the last 24 hours, health entities processed 42,804 tests, 26,848 PCR tests and 15,956 antigens.

The regions with the most new confirmed cases were Bogotá (1,552), Antioquia (1,032), Valle del Cauca (678), Santander (522) and Huila (283).

The Ministry also reported that 3,848 people recovered from the virus and confirmed 159 deaths from this cause, of which 141 occurred more than a day ago.

The number of recovered reached 757,801, while the fatal victims of the new coronavirus in Colombia amounted to 26,556.
