639 cases of covid-19 were notified this Sunday by the Ministry of Health in Valle del Cauca. 25 deaths from the virus were also reported in the department.
In Colombia, 7,924 new cases of covid-19 and 183 deaths were reported. However, 162 of those deaths occurred in previous days.
With this Sunday’s report, Valle del Cauca accumulates 101,751 cases of the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.
The deaths reported this Sunday occurred in Cali (9), Cartago (3), Tuluá (3), Palmira (2), Buga (2), El Cerrito (2), Dagua (1), Obando (1), Seville ( 1) and Zarzal (1).
In Colombia, most COVID-19 cases were reported in Bogotá (2,588), Antioquia (1,323), Valle (639), Cundinamarca (355), and Santander (325).
This Sunday 33,393 tests were processed, 26,969 PCR type, and 6,424 antigens.

Follow-up to cases
The Ministry of Health indicated that it has managed to follow up 89% of the confirmed cases of covid-19 through the Sustainable Selective Testing, Tracking and Isolation Program, PRASS.
Julián Fernández, Director of Epidemiology and Demography indicated that “the
Ministry has a technical team of specialized professionals
in charge of supporting the execution of the program at the national level, which has made it possible to advance by 97.22% in the implementation of PRASS teams in the country ”.
All confirmed, probable and suspected cases that are entered into the SegCovid19 platform are subject to mandatory monitoring by the entities in charge of health insurance (affiliates and beneficiaries) and the health secretariats (uninsured population) according to the prioritization of epidemiological risk that the application throws.
The territories that have a 90% or more follow-up of confirmed COVID-19 cases are: Amazonas, Antioquia, Atlántico, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Bolívar, Casanare, Caquetá, Chocó, Buenaventura, Guainía, Magdalena, Sucre and Valle del Cauca.
