621 cases and 17 new deaths in the Valley, 13 of them in Cali

The Ministry of Health reported this Sunday 8,065 new cases of covid-19 and 256 more deaths from the virus in Colombia -232 of them occurred in previous days.

With these data, the figure of 665,521 confirmed infections in the country is reached, with 125,512 active. The country already registers 21,412 deaths due to the new coronavirus epidemic.

Of the deaths reported this Sunday, 17 of them occurred in Valle del Cauca -13 in California. In addition, the department registers 621 new cases.

The deaths that occurred in the capital of the Valley correspond to: a 70-year-old man, with comorbidities under study; a 72-year-old woman with comorbidities under study; a 52-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman, in the same conditions; an 81-year-old man, who suffered from COPD and hypertension; a 44-year-old man and a 72-year-old man, with comorbidities under study; two 80-year-old men, under the same conditions; a 96-year-old man with kidney disease; a 71-year-old woman who suffered from hypertension; a 62-year-old man with the same condition; and an 81-year-old woman, also with hypertension.

The other deaths reported in the department occurred in Palmira -two cases-, Dagua and Buga.

In Palmira, a 96-year-old man with cardiovascular disease and an 86-year-old woman, who suffered from hypertension, died; in Dagua, a 65-year-old man who suffered from hypertension; and in Buga, a 60-year-old man with comorbidities under study.

In the world, the covid-19 pandemic leaves almost 27 million infections since its inception, in addition to 881,831 deaths. On the planet, more than 18 million people have managed to recover from the new coronavirus – in Colombia there have been 518,229.
