592 new cases and 13 deaths this Good Friday

Valle del Cauca registered 592 new covid-19 infections and 13 deaths this Friday, according to the most recent report from the Ministry of Health.

Thus, the department reached 209,698 cases and 6,589 deaths since the arrival of the pandemic in Colombia, in March 2020.

The fifteen deaths correspond to patients from Cali (9), Pradera (1), Darién (1), Palmira (1) and Tuluá (1).

Valle del Cauca continues to be the third region with the most accumulated cases, behind Bogotá and Antioquia.

At the national level, the Ministry of Health confirmed the presence of 10,222 new infections and 163 deaths, of which 146 occurred in previous days.

Colombia accumulates 2,428,048 cases and 63,777 deaths associated with the disease to date, according to the entity.

The cases that remain active, the report points out, are 55,062, while 2,300,887 have overcome the disease.

On the other hand, the agency affirmed that this Friday, 43,401 tests for the detection of covid-19 were processed throughout the national territory.
