499 cases and three deaths from Covid were reported in the Atlantic

Colombia added this Friday 9,285 infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and others 162 deaths from covid-19, which accumulates 1,352,607 cases and 37,467 deaths, reported the country’s Ministry of Health.

The daily bulletin of the health entity recorded that the largest number of cases were in Bogotá (1,556), Antioquia (1,241), Valle del Cauca (804) and Cundinamarca (624).

The departments of Tolima (556), Santander (499), Atlántico (499), Bolívar (473), Norte de Santander (385), Caldas (317), Risaralda (262), Quindío (259), Magdalena also had high figures. (250), Meta (231) and Boyacá (227).

Over a hundred infections There were also the regions of Cesar (178), Casanare (174), Cauca (166), Huila (160) and La Guajira (118).

With the figures for this Friday, the areas that have reported the most infections are still Bogotá (384,260), Antioquia (219,372), Valle del Cauca (111,822), Atlántico (79,572), Santander (55,034) and Cundinamarca (54,302).

According to the report of the Ministry of Health, 140 of the 162 deaths reported on this day occurred in previous days.

The highest number of deaths were recorded in Antioquia, a department that with 24 cases exceeded the figures of Bogotá (22), a city that generally tops the list of daily deaths from the pandemic.

Cundinamarca had 20 deaths, followed by the departments of Valle del Cauca (15), Tolima (11) and Norte de Santander (9).

The other deceased were in Santander and Bolívar (6); Boyacá, Caldas, Cesar and La Guajira (5); Risaralda (4); Huila, Meta, Quindío, Sucre and Atlántico (3); Guaviare, Magdalena and Nariño (2), and Arauca, Casanare, Córdoba and Putumayo (1).

Of the total number of confirmed infections in the country, 70,968 are still active, corresponding to 5.25%, while 1,240,990 have been reported as recovered, that is, 91.75%.

Today 56,922 samples were processed, 31,470 of them PCR type and 25,452 antigens, for a total of 6.64 million tests performed.
