462 cases and 19 deaths this Sunday

462 positive cases and 19 deaths from covid-19 were notified this Sunday in Valle del Cauca by the Ministry of Health. In Colombia, 7021 new cases of the coronavirus were reported.

El Valle continues to be among the first regions of the country with the most cases. This Sunday most of the reports are concentrated in Antioquia (2104), Bogotá (1579) and then Valle. They are followed by Cesar (275) and Huila (269).

Regarding deaths, in Colombia 167 deaths were reported this Sunday, but 150 occurred in previous days.

Of the 19 deaths in the Valley, 11 occurred in Cali, 2 in Cartago, 2 in Yumbo and 1 in the municipalities of La Victoria, Candelaria, Tuluá and Riofrío.

Colombia is close to reaching one million cases of covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, adding 959,572 today. Of these cases, 70,162 are active and 858,294 people have been recovered.

In addition, this Sunday 31,988 tests, 26,444 PCR and 5,544 antigens were processed.

Valle del Cauca already has 73,561 cases of the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, and the authorities continue to call not to relax preventive measures after almost two months of the economic openings.

Recently, the Valle Health Secretariat indicated that there are cases of covid-19 in 95% of the municipalities of the department and indicated that although the occupancy of ICU beds remains low, the virus continues to circulate throughout the country.
