436 new cases of covid-19 and 19 deaths this November 3

Valle del Cauca reported 436 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours and 19 new deaths from the virus on Tuesday, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

The department thus reached a total of 85,509 infections of the disease since the first case was presented in the region, on March 9.

Likewise, it reached 2,865 deaths caused by the coronavirus, most of them occurred in the capital of the department, Cali (1,953).

The deaths reported this Tuesday occurred in Cali (8), Alcalá (1), Caicedonia (1), Cartago (1), Dagua (1), Jamundí (1), Obando (1), Palmira (1), Restrepo (1 ), Roldanillo (1), Seville (1) and Trujillo (1).

National overview

The number of covid-19 cases in Colombia reached 1,099,392 this Tuesday, after the Ministry of Health confirmed 6,136 new infections in the last 24 hours.

The regions that reported the most cases this Monday were Bogotá (1,454), Antioquia (1,127), Huila (455), Valle (436) and Caldas (303). Health authorities processed a total of 38,233 tests, 26,108 PCR and 12,125 antigens.

Likewise, the bulletin reported 8,081 new people recovered from the disease and 177 deaths from the virus. Of that number, 154 were registered in previous days.

Since the pandemic reached the country last March, 993,877 people have recovered from the disease and 31,847 have died.

Colombia is the eighth country in the world with the most cases of covid-19, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. The country ranks below the United States, India, Brazil, Russia, France, Spain and Argentina.

In deaths, Colombia is ranked 11th worldwide, behind the United States, Brazil, India, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Iran and Peru.
