28 deaths and 1,078 new cases this Tuesday

In Valle del Cauca 28 people died from covid-19 and 1,078
contracted the disease, confirmed the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

Thus, the department reached 3,340 deaths.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (17), Tuluá (3), Palmira (2), Zarzal (2), La Unión, Cartago, Yumbo and Buga (1).

On the other hand, at the national level 7,515 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 1,262,494.

Of these, 56,084 remain active, while 1,167,857 overcame the virus.

Throughout the country, 198 deaths from covid-19 were reported, so there are already 35,677 deaths due to the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 166 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Tuesday 34,351 PCR tests and 18,870 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.

Bogotá (362,221), Antioquia (205,528), Valle del Cauca (103,586) and Atlántico (76,362) are the regions of Colombia that have registered the most coronavirus cases so far.

In the world, 59,307,493 people have contracted the disease, 1,397,493 died for associated reasons and 38,081,416 surpassed it.
