Colombia reached 1,343,322 infections from the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and 37,305 deaths from covid-19, registering 9,233 new cases and 188 deaths, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Health released this Thursday.
The highest number of positive cases of the day was in Bogotá with 2,800, a city that was ahead of the departments of Antioquia (1,298), Valle del Cauca (1,009), Cundinamarca (393), Norte de Santander (383), Santander ( 375) and Bolívar (365).
Boyacá (287), Tolima (268), Risaralda (253), Atlántico (271), Caldas (232), Meta (192), Quindío (185), Magdalena (166), Nariño (159), Huila also had high figures (103) and Cesar (101).
Of the total confirmed cases, 69,753 remain active, that is 5.19%, while 1,233,115 appear as recovered, which is equivalent to 91.8%.
Since March, when the first contagion was confirmed in the country, the regions that accumulate the most cases are Bogotá, with 382,704, followed by Antioquia (218,131), Valle del Cauca (111,017), Atlántico (79,073), Santander (54,535) and Cundinamarca (53,678).
The Ministry of Health highlighted that of the 188 deaths reported this Thursday, 158 occurred in previous days.
The deaths occurred in Bogotá (34), Valle del Cauca (27), Antioquia (23), Santander (18), Norte de Santander (17), Tolima (12) and Quindío (11).
The other deaths occurred in Risaralda (8); Boyacá and Cesar (5); Huila (4); Caldas, Cauca and La Guajira (3); Atlántico, Bolívar, Córdoba, Magdalena, Meta and Sucre (2), and Cundinamarca, Nariño and Putumayo (1).
On this day, 57,621 samples were processed, 32,066 PCR-type and 25,555 antigens, for a total of 6.59 million tests performed.
