21 deaths and 619 new infections this Friday

In Valle del Cauca, 21 people died from covid-19 and 619 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Friday.

Thus, the department reached 3,412 deaths.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (11), Tuluá (4), Alcalá, Bugalagrande, El Cerrito, Palmira, El Dovio and Seville (1).

On the other hand, at the national level 10,023 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 1,290,510.

Of these, 61,830 remain active, while 1,189,499 overcame the virus.

Across the country, 195 deaths from covid-19 were reported, so there are already 36,214 deaths from the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 162 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Friday 32,292 PCR tests and 19,089 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.

Bogotá (369,711), Antioquia (209,944), Valle del Cauca (105,872) and Atlántico (77,224) are the regions of Colombia that have registered the most cases of coronavirus so far.

In the world, 61,079,040 people have contracted the disease, 1,433,516 died for associated reasons and 39,266,927 have overcome it.
