The Sectional Secretariat of Health and Social Protection of Antioquia reported that 1,601 new registered cases of infected by Covid-19 in the department and rises to 112,470.
In Medellín there are (1,014), Bello (173), Itagüí (114), Envigado (84), Puerto Berrío (27), Copacabana (24), Rionegro (21), Caldas (16), Apartadó (15), Sabaneta ( 12), Girardota (12), La Estrella (10), Yarumal (8), Guarne (7), Barbosa (7), Marinilla (7), Remedios (6), Amagá (5), San Pedro de los Milagros ( 4), Carmen de Viboral (4), La Ceja (4), El Retiro (4), San Jerónimo (2), Donmatías (2), Yolombó (2), Amalfi (2), Turbo (2), Salgar ( 1), Santa fe de Antioquia (1), El Peñol (1), Cocorná (1), Dabeiba (1), El Santuario (1), San Roque (1), Anzá (1), Yondó (1), Ciudad Bolívar (1), La Pintada (1), Chigorodó (1) and Sopetrán (1).
All these new infected have been previously identified, placed in isolation and under the corresponding epidemiological surveillance.
With these new cases, the number of infected people in the department of Antioquia amounts to 112,470. Of these, 54,958 are women and 57,512 are men.
ACTIVE CASES IN ANTIOQUIA:
In Medellín there are 2,181 cases and the remaining 1,166 are distributed as follows in the following municipalities: Bello (319), Itagüí (170), Envigado (164), Rionegro (52), Copacabana (50), Sabaneta (40), La Estrella ( 32), Caldas (31), Puerto Berrío (30), Apartadó (30), Girardota (29), Marinilla (18), Amagá (13), Guarne (13), Barbosa (13), Donmatías (12), Yarumal (11), Carmen de Viboral (11), La Ceja (10), Yolombó (10), El Retiro (10), Remedios (8), Segovia (7), Santa Rosa de Osos (6), San Pedro de los Milagros (5), Turbo (5), Chigorodó (5), Yondó (3), Urrao (3), San Jerónimo (3), El Santuario (3), Amalfi (3), Titiribí (2), Salgar (2 ), Fredonia (2), Carepa (2), Uramita (2), Puerto Triunfo (2), Anzá (2), Caucasia (2), El Peñol (2), San Vicente (2), Maceo (2), La Pintada (2), Necoclí (2), Santa fe de Antioquia (2), Santo Domingo (1), Belmira (1), La Unión (1), Betulia (1), Buriticá (1), Briceño (1) , Garden (1), Montebello (1), Ciudad Bolívar (1), Sopetrán (1), Liborina (1), San Pedro de Urabá (1), C ocorná (1), San Roque (1), Támesis (1), Giraldo (1), Pueblorrico (1), Dabeiba (1) and San Rafael (1).
Likewise, it indicates that there are (587) hospitalized patients: (321) in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, and (266) in general hospitalization.
Regarding the patients from other departments and who are hospitalized there are (12) people. From Chocó (7) are in a general room, Córdoba (1) in ICU and (1) in general hospitalization, Santander (1) in general hospitalization and (1) in ICU and Sucre (1) in general hospitalization.
Regarding UCI cams, The department has 920 for COVID patients, of the latter there are 666 occupied, between confirmed and suspected patients. That is, the occupancy of COVID beds in the department is 72.39%.
