15 more deaths and 760 new cases this Tuesday

In Valle del Cauca, 15 more citizens died from covid-19 and 760 contracted the disease, confirmed the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca, the third department in Colombia with the highest contagion rate, behind Cundinamarca and Antioquia, reached 79,994 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (7), Buga (4), Palmira, Cartago, Candelaria and Tuluá (1).

At the national level, 8,166 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 1,033,218.

Of these, 67,395 remain active, while 932,882 overcame the virus.

Throughout the country, 217 deaths from covid-19 were reported, so there are already 30,565 deaths from the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 192 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Tuesday 26,298 PCR tests and 22,181 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.
