12,105 new cases and 282 deaths this January 1

In Colombia, 282 more citizens died from covid-19 and 12,105 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Friday.

244 of these deaths belong to previous days, the entity indicated.

In this way, the country reached 1,654,880 cases of coronavirus since the arrival of the pandemic, last March.

It also specified that 86,437 cases remain active.

On the other hand, 12,129 citizens overcame the virus. Thus, 1,520,548 have been recovered.

Deaths due to the disease are already 43,495.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health said that this Friday 39,691 were processed for the detection of the virus.

In the world, 83,820,509 people have contracted the disease, 1,824,272 died for reasons associated with the virus and 47,224,008 exceeded it.
