Clubhouse puts on a live ‘Lion King’ production, a thousand drops in

Now, this is creative … a few users of the clubhouse put on a live production of ‘The Lion King’ – complete with artists and singers – and many more flocked to listen live.

Hosted by executive producer and director Noel Chesnat Whitmore – with the help of a full crew including Voice Is Actors / Singers and others – the show is a two-show event that kicked off Saturday … with Matinee entering at 12 noon. PM PT, and the next show 5 p.m.. It sounds free … but you have a clubhouse to catch it.

The word is, aud dishes were organized at the clubhouse itself … and a ton of super talented people ready for a live reading of the Disney animated classics, which we all know and love. And it turned out, it looks so beautiful!

One such actor, Lee-Lon Na (one of the people playing Simba for the clubhouse) posted a video of him rehearsing for ‘I Just Can’t Wait to King’ – and it’s clear that these people take him very seriously. .. it comes off almost like a movie. So yes, they are good here at work.

The afternoon show is over, but as we said … there will be an encore within an hour. At its peak, there were reports of Club, 000 Clubhouse users listening live (in silence, of course) … including many children and families.

Problem – If you haven’t signed up for Clubhouse yet (which still seems to be in beta stage of development), you’ll have to wait until next time … because the admin team will have to approve you and your username. Before you can keep up, and it takes a while.

The good news … some people are capturing and posting parts of the performance (which is technically against their rules) – so we can all at least get a taste of the treats in the game. Not only that, but there’s also talk of other popular productions that might get a clubhouse treatment – like ‘A Raisin in the Sun’, for example, with more shows on the horizon, it seems.

It’s perfect for you to sign up – the clubhouse is all the rage these days, and a ton of celebs are constantly coming down and chatting with fans about different topics. Kevin Hart, Damon Dash, J. Budd Bouden, Tyris, Bo Wah and countless others have accounts and performances … with complete strangers to the ride.
