Sure, it’s only July, but it’s never too early to get into the holiday spirit. Country fans have some jingle bells to look forward to, because Carrie Underwood announced that her first Christmas album, My gift, arrives on September 25.

In a preview of the shared album today (July 20), the star reveals how important it was for her to spread a bit of joy during these uncertain times. “This year, it was kind of funny for me to make this Christmas album. I felt it was a very appropriate time, kind of like it’s the most perfect time to ever record an album like this,” she explains. while scenes of the singer recording the album are played.

“I always wanted to make a Christmas album and it’s been a long time coming,” Underwood said in a press release. “I knew this would be my next musical project after finishing my tour last year, and I think it turned out to be the perfect time for an album like this, in this period of personal and spiritual reflection. For me, it is more important than ever to focus on the true meaning of Christmas in a project like this. Even though it has been a difficult year for all of us, sometimes I feel that the best accomplishments can be inspired by the most difficult times and make us more grateful for the things we have and for what really matters. “

Although Underwood has previously recorded several Christmas songs, Greg Wells produced and arranged My gift marks the singer’s first long-term vacation project. List of songs, composers and special guests will be revealed at a later date.
