Cadence of Hyrule: DLC packs, Season Pass announced

Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer with The Legend of Zelda will receive three paid DLC packs, the first of which is due out today. Announced on today’s Nintendo Direct Mini, Zelda’s themed rhythmic adventure will receive three packages:

  • Character Pack ($ 5.99): This pack adds Impa, Aria, Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda, and Frederick to the game, each with new abilities and weapons.
  • Melody Pack ($ 5.99): This pack adds 39 songs to the game, including remixed versions of the game’s background music (from Family Jules, Chipzel, and A_Rival). Music can be changed at any time.
  • Symphony of the Mask ($ 9.99) – This bundle adds new story content where you play as Majora’s Mask’s Skull Kid, adding a new map and new songs along the way. Skull Kid will change his abilities depending on the mask he wears.

No release date was given for the last two packages, but they will be released before the end of October. A season pass is now also available for $ 14.99, and adds bonus outfits for Link and Zelda.

A full edition of the game, complete with all DLC, will launch on October 23 for $ 39.99.

We gave Cadence of Hyrule a review of 8.8, saying it “absolutely deserves to be in Zelda’s canon along with the best of its 2D games.”
