This was announced in the BNT program “From the day” by the Minister of Education Krassimir Valchev, who commented on the situation with COVID-19 in schools and kindergartens.
“Since the beginning of the school year, 289 teachers have been infected. There are 286 children and students. The number of teachers is 10% higher because there are 920,000 students and children in kindergartens and 90,000 teachers. This confirms the data that students are infected fewer or carry the coronavirus without symptoms. The measures must be followed, because where there are clusters it is clear that the measures are not fulfilled. The good thing is that the quarantine is reduced to 10 days and thus more than 95% of the system will be able to function even in the event of a serious deterioration of the situation.
