Most likely it is a natural recombination, a mutation in the genome of this virus. It is part of a family of viruses that humanity has encountered for centuries.
“In this particular strain, there is a decrease in mortality and the drama of the clinical picture, and an increase in the percentage of asymptomatic carriers of the virus or prolongation of the presymptomatic period.” This allows infected people to spread the virus without realizing it. This suggests the main obstacle and difficulty in controlling this pandemic.
