What will be the costs and expenses of the state in 2021, the deputies must finally approve in a special meeting on Tuesday.
On Thursday night, the corresponding committee took only two hours to approve in second reading the budgets of the Health Insurance Fund, the state social security and the state budget for 2021. Due to long disputes during the plenary session of the day Earlier, the committee meeting started only at 5:20 p.m., but estimates were voted on.
The deputies were the fastest to approve the texts on state social security. Exactly 20 minutes were enough for the minimum pension of BGN 300 to pass from January 1, 2021 and for the limit to become BGN 1440. The remaining pensions will increase only under the Swiss rule by 5% from January 1 of July.
At the last minute came the compromise solution for the children’s disputes after weeks about whether they should be for all Bulgarian children. Therefore, the final project was presented: having an income criterion of BGN 500 and assistance for a child to remain at BGN 40. The deputies accepted IMRO’s proposal to have a tax refund of BGN 450 for parents. (See table.)
Doctors with a salary of up to BGN 5,000 will receive an additional BGN 600, nurses – BGN 360 and nurses – BGN 120, the deputies also agreed.
