Turkey is introducing a mandatory negative PCR test for those arriving in the country, Turkish media reported.
Starting on December 28, all passengers arriving in Turkey by plane will have to pass a negative PCR test, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced tonight.
The same rule will apply from December 30 to those arriving across land borders, as well as to people traveling to Turkey by boat, Koca said according to Turkish television CNN-Turk.
The test must be done no more than 72 hours before entering Turkey, the minister added.
The requirement will apply until March, he said.
Koca said passengers arriving by plane from Britain, Denmark and South Africa will be quarantined, along with a requirement to present a negative test.
