The Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Denitsa Sacheva, has issued a new order for temporarily limited economic activities due to Kovid-19, whose workers can receive compensation from the state for being on unpaid leave. The update of the document is in relation to the order of the Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov to extend the term of the anti-epidemic measures introduced.

According to the order, until January 31, employees in bars, taverns, wineries, breweries, cafes, language and education centers, other training centers and schools, professional associations, as well as employees in travel companies will be able to receive a compensation.

Until January 31, employees at all points of sale that are located in the shopping centers of one or more buildings with stores or mall-type shopping centers can also receive compensation, except for grocery stores, pharmacies, opticians and pet stores, whose activity is not suspended. Until the same date, financial support is provided to employees in gambling halls and casinos, as well as in hairdressers and beauty salons, including shopping centers.

Until January 31, 2021, the staff of cinemas, discos, piano and night bars, nightclubs and other nightclubs for indoor entertainment can also apply for compensation. Employees in economic activities related to concerts, creation and presentation of live shows such as operas, operettas, circuses and other scenic works, directors, producers, set designers, costume and lighting designers, technical specialists, as well as sectors, also have the right. related to all collective and individual sporting events of a formative and competitive nature and those that take place in solariums, saunas, weight loss rooms and massages.

The staff of private nurseries and nurseries, as well as museums, can receive compensation until January 3, 2021. After this date they will resume their activities.

For each day of unpaid leave, employees in temporarily suspended businesses can receive BGN 24 until the end of 2020. As of January 1, 2021, at the suggestion of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the compensation will be 75% of the employee insurance income for October 2020. г.
