The European Commission is against the quarantine of travelers between countries of the European Union. Brussels also does not support the introduction of health certificates. This was announced by high-ranking representatives of the commission, reports BTA.
According to the EC, travelers in the EU need not be restricted on arrival if the country they are from and the country they are from apply similar measures against the Kovid-19 epidemic.
The EC does not support unconditional quarantine for travelers, commission representatives said.

According to them, the introduction of health certificates can lead to a new danger: the desire of some people to deliberately become infected, in the hope of obtaining a document that they have suffered.
The EC is of the opinion that current strict measures against the epidemic are no longer necessary. The Commission insists on the harmonization of the ways in which morbidity data are collected in the EU and that these data are made available in real time for comparison.
It is planned to create an electronic map that constantly shows the epidemic situation in different parts of the EU.
According to the EC, this would make it easier for tourists to prepare for the summer holidays. In the opinion of the commission, it is not necessary to cancel summer reservations at this time.
The Commission continues to believe that, even in the event of an epidemic, passenger rights should not be restricted, so those whose flights have been canceled should be able to get their money back.
The EC insists that the issuance of coupons is maintained on a voluntary basis and does not become the usual compensation for a canceled flight.
The EC proposes to proceed to the gradual opening of the borders in the Schengen area, according to the scientific data on the incidence. The Commission notes the need to monitor the removal of any of the restrictions introduced since March, leading to an increase in the number of people infected with the new disease.
The Commission also proposes that uniform standards of conduct be introduced in airplanes and hotels to maintain cleanliness and safety among people. According to the EC, it is necessary for workers in the field of transport, for example, to wear masks with high protection.
In the coming days, the Commission expects the relevant European services to propose additions to the General Protocol on Civil Aviation Security.
For the EC, the compatibility of individual applications for electronic devices designed to track patients and people with whom they have had close contact is crucial.
The Commission expects this objective to be achieved in June or July. The EC notes that all of these guidelines will be optional but highly recommended for EU countries.
