The Czech Republic is tightening the rules for wearing masks. Starting tomorrow, it will be mandatory for urbanized areas in cities and municipalities, Czech Health Minister Roman Primula said after a cabinet meeting, DPA reported.

An exception will be made if it is possible to maintain a distance of more than 2 meters, as well as for sports. Until now, the use of masks was mandatory indoors, and recently when driving, in case there are people in the car who are not part of the family, reported bTV.

In Germany, part of Bavaria became the first area since April to be fully quarantined, Reuters reported. The measure in the Berchtesgadener Land district takes effect today and stipulates that in the next two weeks its residents will not be able to leave their homes without a valid reason. The reason for its introduction was a sharp increase in coronavirus cases in the region, after their number for a period of seven days reached 272.8 per 100,000 inhabitants.

And Ireland has already announced some of the strictest restrictions in Europe against COVI-19. Stores that do not sell basic necessities will be closed and the activities of restaurants and pubs will be limited to fulfilling home orders. People were also told not to travel more than 5 kilometers from their home.


In the first wave of the increase in coronavirus cases, Ireland imposed the quarantine, which was one of the longest in Europe, and in recent weeks, as the number of infected began to rise again, tightened the restrictions. However, unlike the first quarantine, schools will now remain open and important industries such as construction will also be able to continue operating. In Sweden, consideration has begun to impose restrictions on transport and shops.
