Desislava Yordanova has applied to leave Rodopi Municipality in Plovdiv, where she held the position of Chief Expert at the Department of Education. This was confirmed by the direction of the Municipality of Nova TV. The Reds City Council in Plovdiv has decided not to celebrate it and not to run for managerial positions next year.
An investigation by Nova TV showed that without a bachelor’s degree, you can go straight to a master’s degree and then be appointed as chief expert in municipal administration with the document. The Plovdiv prosecutor’s office immediately filed a complaint and the Economic Police launched an investigation. Yordanova was summoned for questioning. Members of his party in the city under the hills also reacted.
Desislava Yordanova announced in the media that she has a bachelor’s degree. It is clear from the document of his master’s degree that in 2010 he graduated with honors in Health Management.
In 2009, Yordanova applied to the Medical University with a request stating that, in addition to the fee paid, he also attached a copy of a completed higher education diploma from Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv.
However, the Medical University found only one official note stating that Desislava Yordanova had a university degree from the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv in the Faculty of Economics, with a specialization in Marketing and Management. It should be noted that the name of the university is misspelled.
In addition, it is not clear from the stamp of the document who issued it.
It is clear that Yordanova did not graduate from the Faculty of Economics at Paisii Hilendarski University in Plovdiv, because it does not exist there. There is no such specialty “Marketing and Management”, university management is categorical.
Furthermore, the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv confirmed that no “Official Note” had been issued to Desislava Georgieva Yordanova because the university did not have the practice of issuing such notes. There is only one certificate issued on the University form.
His diploma from the University of Medicine was annulled by decision of the Academic Council.
The diploma has been removed from all records of the University of Medicine. An investigation was launched and Desislava Yordanova was questioned by the Economic Police.
She explained to BNR that she has a BA from Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski University – Lyuben Karavelov Branch in Kardzhali.
The director of PU-Branch “Lyuben Karavelov” in Kardzhali, Professor Dr. Iliana Velcheva, in an official response clearly states that Desislava Yordanova has never been enrolled for training at PU-Branch “Lyuben Karavelov” -Kardzhali and therefore there is no data on his student status in the branch registry.
In the opinion of the branch, they categorically emphasize once again that PU does not issue an official note, but a certificate. Furthermore, the official note delivered by Desislava Yordanova to MU does not belong to the Branch and contains incorrect information.
