The Minister of Health with 3 new requests due to the prolonged epidemic situation

Today, the Minister of Health issued three orders in relation to the decision of the Council of Ministers to extend the epidemic emergency situation until the end of September. The main changes in the texts are the following:

The requirement for a negative PCR test and quarantine for those arriving from Turkey, Serbia and Belarus has been removed.

They will be allowed in the territory of the country without the need to present a document that demonstrates a negative result of a polymerase chain reaction test for the detection of COVID-19. The director of the respective regional health inspection cancels with an order the prescriptions issued to quarantine the people who arrived in our country from these three countries in the period from August 20 to 31.

Classes attended in the school and preschool education system resume.

Assistance activity in higher schools is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the respective higher school and in compliance with the general anti-epidemic measures implemented in the country. If possible, the training process takes place remotely in an electronic environment.

Language and education centers, as well as entertainment centers, will provide their services in an electronic environment and, when this is not possible, providing a physical distance between people of 1.5 m and complying with anti-epidemic measures.

About Visits to outsiders in medical institutions starting tomorrow, September 1, are only allowed for relatives of patients in terminal stage.

In the same order, in specialized institutions for the provision of social services and for residential social services for children and adults, visits from external persons are exceptionally allowed and at the discretion of the director.

– It is recommended to continue the workflow remotely, when possible, either to establish work hours with variable limits or shift work.

According to the Minister’s order issued today, employers can apply other preventive measures and work methods, depending on the particularities of the respective work activity. The goal is to provide a better level of protection for workers.
