The man was examined by his personal physician for referral to a urologist. Since there is no such specialist in the polyclinic, he leaves.

A homeless person lies helpless for hours on the stairs, several hours looking for help (18+)

“The patient comes out of the building in a visibly good condition, swaying, he looks like a homeless man, quite dirty. They even thought he was drunk,” Dr. Sonya Tsekova, manager of DCC 4-Varna, told BNT.

Nearby restaurants gave the man a chair and called his personal physician, and the DCC 4 manager called the municipality’s social service.

“It happened on another occasion, even with our personal transportation we took them to the shelter for the homeless. There are often such people near the medical institution,” admits Dr. Tsekova.

While trying to help the man, he died. His GP only determined death. They called the district police department, which is the sudden death warrant.

“We informed the forensic doctors at St. Anna Hospital, they told us not to touch the man until the Ministry of the Interior allowed them to take him away. We covered him, of course, with a sheet so that he would not, but we had no right to touch him”. says Dr. Sonya Tsekova.

The polyclinic explained that about 50 minutes passed before the arrival of a specialized ambulance to transport the body.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, insisted that he would not tolerate the mistreatment of patients.

The case is being investigated.
