TO A conversation held today between the Minister of Health and the Director of the Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate, Dr. Dancho Penchev, has resigned.
A record number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals and intensive care units
This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Health.
The Minister of Health accepts the resignation.
Official reasons for the resignation have not been announced.

We remind you that Boyko Borissov was quarantined on Friday and Saturday as a contact person for Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Nikolay Nankov, who tested positive for coronavirus.
On Saturday, the Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate lifted the prime minister’s quarantine after two repeated negative results of the PCR test on two consecutive days. On Sunday, however, Prime Minister Borissov announced on Facebook that he had tested positive for coronavirus.
