The disease is acute and chronic.

Thousands of people in China’s Gansu province have a serious infection after a leak at a biochemical plant, writes CNN.

More than 3,000 people tested positive for brucellosis, an infectious disease, which is subacute, chronic, or latent. It is a dangerous zooanthroponosis. It is also called Maltese fever or Bang’s disease. The disease is caused by contact with cattle that carry the Brucella bacteria. Symptoms of the disease are severe headache, fever, fatigue, and muscle aches.

However, the Lanzhou Health Commission revealed that people may have been infected by inhalation. Last year, the city was gassed after an accident at a biochemical plant.
