Many readers ask how many days they should be in quarantine if they have been in contact with an infected person. Here’s what Sofia RHI has to say on the subject:
1. The following confirmed COVID-19 cases will be subject to mandatory isolation and / or treatment at home for a period of 14 days from the date of the confirmatory laboratory test:
a) infectious agents (asymptomatic face);
(b) people with mild clinical symptoms (body temperature
c) people included in point 1, who have stated in writing and explicitly their refusal to receive hospital treatment.
2. All close contacts of a confirmed COVID-19 case will be subject to a 10-day quarantine, starting from the last contact with the confirmed case, by being quarantined at the home or other place indicated by the person.
3. Persons who have entered the territory of the country from other countries, indicated in order of the Minister of Health by virtue of art. 61, para. 2 and art. 63, para. 4 of the Health Law.
If symptoms of COVID-19 do not appear until the expiration of the prescribed period, as per the current case definition, the quarantine ends.
