The former Minister of Education, Prof. Todor Tanev, lost his mother a few days ago. He himself admitted it on the air of Nova TV.

According to him, he lost the battle against the coronavirus.

“My mother left a few days ago,” he said at the beginning of his visit.

“These measures are absolutely unavoidable. This is a cruel moment,” he said.

Prof. Tanev stated that in the case of education the main role is played by the Ministry of Health and not so much by the Ministry of Education.

“There is no such classroom training. The quality of learning is much better for pupils and students. We live in a century in which there must be flexibility and modularity.

Math and music are very easy to learn remotely, but let’s just say medicine is impossible. I hope it doesn’t get to a zero school year. I hope that the Ministry of Education and Science and the Council of Ministers avoid this, but if it happens, I believe that some country will continue to be the protagonist in this regard. “Then the political arguments for the actions of governments will change,” he added.

When asked if he would be vaccinated, he said he hadn’t thought about it.

“I am not convinced that I should do it, although I am in the risk group. Young people should think, because vaccines give some deviations and allergic shocks are reported,” Professor Tanev said.
