Prof. Kosta Kostov: Borissov should not be treated like Trump

From what I heard, I think the prime minister is sick, not just infected. However, he has a mild form of COVID-19, explained pulmonologist Prof. Dr. Kosta Kostov, president of the Council of Experts on Coronavirus, in the program “120 minutes”.

“80% of the cases of infected people are mild and asymptomatic, I do not see anything worrying that the prime minister has stayed at home, I do not think the situation should be exaggerated,” said Professor Kostov.

He noted that the sensitivity of the CRP test increases, at the moment of contact it is almost zero, and high values are reached 48 hours before the onset of symptoms.

“In other words, it is logical that the prime minister has a positive test,” said the professor.

“Most likely he has a high body mass index, most likely with a mild form of obesity, which is a risk factor, and because of the serious risk factors, I don’t know if the prime minister has other diseases,” Professor Kostov said.

I suggest we treat the prime minister differently than Trump, he was adamant.

“The American president has been given things without any serious evidence, like vitamins C and D, he has been given famotidine because of aspirin, even melatonin, probably bad sleep.” He was treated with two drugs that were really in place: Remdisivir and Dexamethasone, “explained Professor Kostov.

According to him, there is evidence that Trump has made a refraction in his clinical picture: he had a slight respiratory decompensation and a decrease in the concentration of oxygen in the blood.

I suggest that the prime minister does not get there, he does not need Remdisivir or Dexamethasone at the moment, “said the pulmonologist.
