The tragic death of the great Bulgarian physician Prof. Alexander Chirkov was confirmed a few minutes ago for “24 hours” by his close friend, the medical luminary Prof. Dimitar Kamburov. The best orthopedist is among the closest people to the legendary cardiac surgeon, who went to a hotel in Varna last night.
“We spoke on the phone the last few days because I had been quarantined. We last heard each other last night at 8.30 pm,” said Professor Kamburov. He specified that for several days the top-level cardiologist had been a guest at a prestigious hotel in Varna, where he died last night.
His last phone conversation was last night at 8.30pm, in which Professor Chirkov said that his back was hurting a lot. (This can also be a sign of a heart attack, according to experts.)
“The man who attended him left him at 10:30 pm, looked for him at midnight and, having received no response, returned to the hotel to verify the professor’s state of health. So he found it. We don’t know what he died of, but there is no connection to COVID ”, Prof. Kamburov was categorical.
At the moment, Professor Chirkov’s children, who are doctors and work abroad, have yet to decide whether the medical lamp will be buried in Varna or choose another option.
