“There is a logistical problem in communication between the different medical institutions in the different areas in relation to COVID-19. That is why the National Logistics Headquarters, which will be located in Sofia, will start operating next week. People will work on it 24 hours a day according to the principle of a call center. “This was announced by the Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, in Gotse Delchev.
“The country will be divided into 6 regions. The function of the workers will be to compensate all the deficits so that people receive help at any time, so that there are no people waiting to be accommodated, or there is a need for Remdesivir and waiting for a solution” he added.

The Health Minister added that there are logistical difficulties regarding the availability of beds at Gotse Delchev hospital. “Therefore, it was decided to open 10 additional beds in the Gotse Delchev hospital, which will be located on the territory of the internal ward. When these needs are met, patients should be transported to Razlog,” he added.
“With regard to the other hospitals in the territory of the Blagoevgrad district, there are no difficulties in the availability of hospital beds,” Angelov said. He added: “The problem is still staffing: doctors and nurses who care for patients in hospitals and, in particular, in Gotse Delchev, Sandanski and Razlog.”
According to him, there are 2 proposals to solve the problem. “One is to allow students to do internships in these hospitals and the second option is that specialists who do their internships in the capital can work at Gotse Delchev hospital and help their colleagues,” he said.

As for the general situation in the district, there are additional measures that have been introduced by the mayors of the respective municipalities, Angelov added. “The purpose of all these measures in the district is to reduce the morbidity curve and enter more normal numbers, so that if this happens, we can advise people to travel more freely to Blagoevgrad. “If everyone follows the measures, we expect the incidence to drop by around 30%,” he said.
According to him, the whole situation is being neglected at the moment. “The most important measure is to wear masks indoors,” said the Health Minister.
“We cannot fight this virus with checkpoints. We can fight it with measures and intellect, not with fear. We have to fight it with discipline, follow the rules. Starting today, we will introduce uncompromising control at all points where there may be a controlling body. We will not allow anyone to think that they can be above the rights of all. The sanctions will be the same for everyone until people start to comply with the measures, “he added.
