A second internal ward will be transformed at Rahila Angelova Hospital in Pernik and will house COVID-19 patients, the regional health inspection announced after the capacity of the infection room was filled.
“In the last days of this week, Pernik left the so-called green zone, forcing us to take concrete action,” RHI director Dr. Yuri Tornev told BTA.
Monday was a public holiday in the city and it was feared that the number of infected would increase. Today there are 431 people in quarantine in the district, 35 more than yesterday.
So far, the central government has refrained from closing nightclubs and setting night hours for restaurants.
