New record: 914 infected with coronavirus

The number of people infected with coronavirus set a new record. With 6,324 tests performed in the last 24 hours, 914 new cases were reported. This is 95 more than the day before, when 819 positive samples were recorded.

The number of hospitalized is also growing: there are already 1,426. During the last 24 hours, seven new patients have been admitted to intensive care units, bringing the total number to 74.

In the last 24 hours, 15 people have died. 189 people have been cured, so the number of active cases in our country is now almost 10,000, about 17,000 people have recovered from the disease.

Most of the new cases were registered again in Sofia: 260. The number of infected continues to increase in Blagoevgrad, where 91 positive samples are reported. In Targovishte, there are 45. On Thursday, the authorities identified the two districts as a “red zone” with a morbidity of more than 120 people per 100,000, and the Minister of Health, Kostadin Angelov, recommended not to travel there.

According to statistics, 85 new cases have been registered in Plovdiv. 64 are positive samples in Burgas, 40 in Stara Zagora, 28 in Montana and Pleven, 21 in Sliven and Kardzhali, 17 in Pazardzhik, 15 in Lovech, 14 in Smolyan and Ruse, 10 in Dobrich. The districts with less than 10 new cases are Yambol (8), Silistra (8), Razgrad (9), Pernik (7), Kyustendil (4), Gabrovo (5), Veliko Tarnovo (3), Vidin (1). .

Despite the increase in the number of new cases, the authorities have not yet announced new measures. The thesis of the Ministry of Health and the Operational Headquarters is that the current ones should be observed. Therefore, it was announced that intensified inspections are being initiated for the use of masks indoors.
