The teams from Lokomotiv (Pd) and CSKA will meet at 9:00 pm in the great derby of the First League round.
The two teams will repeat the final of the Bulgarian Cup a few months ago, which was later won by the “Smurfs” after penalties.
This season the teams mentioned are Ludogorets’ biggest competition for the championship title in the country.
CSKA is undefeated after the first six rounds and is fourth in the standings with 12 points. So is Lokomotiv, who are in fifth place for their worst goal difference.
Sparks flickered between the two camps during the week.
The “Army” was asked to postpone the match due to Basel’s important visit to the Europa League, but the “Smurfs” leadership refused.
No surprises are expected from the Plovdiv team.
Although the Basel game may give meaning to the whole season of the “reds”, Stamen Belchev will not maintain the strength of his main players.
Petar Zanev and Ivan Turitsov will be out again for health reasons.
The total balance of the matches between them is 74 victories for the “reds”, 29 draws and 22 successes for the “black and white”.
The main judge of the meeting is Nikolay Yordanov.
