The Zevzet from the village of Kamenovo in Novozagorsk are already seriously preparing an invitation to the newly elected president of the United States, Joe Biden, to visit them next year on September 21, when the village fair is traditionally held.
This was announced for “24 Chasa” by the veteran journalist from Sliven and correspondent for the newspaper “Starshel” Dobrin Dobrev, who now lives in the village. He explained that Kamenovo has been celebrating September 21 since 1948, because on that date the cooperative farm was formed, which many still remember with nostalgia.
If he comes, the President of the United States will taste the traditional sacrifice of the people, which is always prepared at his Kamenovo fair.
The invitation to Biden will be on behalf of the 400 people who live in Kamenovo today. Among them is Georgi Angelov, the father of the current Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, whose childhood he spent there.
Kamenov’s people still stipulate that if President Joe Biden is too busy next year on September 21, they will be happy to welcome his Vice President Kamala Harris.
