Final: Outdoor masks in case of accumulation and impossibility of distance

As of October 22, the obligation to wear masks in open public places where there is a concentration of people and the impossibility of maintaining a physical distance of 1.5 m comes into force. In such a situation, people should wear a mask or other means that covers the nose and mouth – towel, scarf, helmet, etc. This is stated in the new order of the Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov, published on Wednesday evening. Previously, the Health Minister clarified that the order will be applied while waiting in lines, in markets and in other situations when people crowd in open spaces.

Exceptions are made for customers of restaurants and drinking establishments; indoor and outdoor athletes; participants in congress-conference events, information sessions, etc. similar events during speeches, as well as for hosts and guests on television shows. The exceptions are children under 6 years of age.

According to the order, places that are accessible to citizens or intended for public use are public.

The anti-epidemic measure of maintaining a physical distance of at least 1.5 m between people who are not of the same family is valid for all those who are in open public places.

In accordance with the same order, people who provide administrative and other services to citizens must use the means of information and communication technologies and, if possible, provide the relevant services in an electronic environment.
