On the issue of human resources, Kunchev expressed the position that it is of great importance that the Minister of Health can send staff. For antigen testing at the meeting, the view was shared that its use is appropriate for emergency care, hospitals, RHI, in cases where there is a limited resource of PCR testing or when testing larger groups of people.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov insisted that citizens can help both themselves and the health system if they continue to adhere to the established basic principles: disinfection, distance and discipline.

“I trust people: we can be more disciplined, we can be more self-conservative. At the same time, we have recovered quite a bit, which is also a good indicator,” Borissov said. According to him, compliance with the measures is of the utmost importance to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and the personal responsibility of each one, along with reasonable and balanced measures will help to overcome the crisis.
